The Physical Therapy Department of our Hospital in collaboration with all the Physical Therapy Departments of Greek Universities contributes to educating process of physical therapy students offerning clinical and practical placements which consists the process and the application of theoretical knowledge on true working enviroment.
Students are trained, guided and supervised in a variety of clinical settings (orthopaedics, neurology, cardiorespiratory) to acute (ICU) and chronic conditions aiming to gain experience in a variety of conditions and follow up therir progress. Central core of students training is the development of clinical reasoning which is the process of applying knowledge and expertise to a clinical situation to develop a solution and follow an evidence based treatment.
Emphasis is given to the development of communication skills with patients due to assessment and reassessment, as well as with collegues and other health professionals which is required for complete and high level of health care provison. 

The already experienced and qualified personnel of our department continually update their skills and knowledge (CPD) participating to various international scientific events by paper presentations to national and inernational congresses and publications to scientific journals.
