Για να μπορέσουν οι εργαζόμενοι να προσφέρουν ποιοτικότερες υπηρεσίες υγείας πρέπει και οι ίδιοι να τις λάβουν. Η καρδιαγγειακή νόσος, είναι αποτέλεσμα πολλών παραγόντων κινδύνου, οι οποίοι δρουν αθροιστικά μεταξύ τους. Πολλοί από αυτούς τους παράγοντες είναι τροποποιήσιμοι και για το λόγο αυτό, η καρδιολογική κλινική του νοσοκομείου μας, ξεκινά ένα πρόγραμμα πρόληψης της καρδιαγγειακής νόσου για το προσωπικό του νοσοκομείου, με βάση τον υπολογισμό του ατομικού 10ετούς καρδιαγγειακού κινδύνου.

Ο κύριος σκοπός της εκτίμησης του καρδιαγγειακού κινδύνου, είναι να αποτελέσει βάση, για την καθοδήγηση στην τροποποίηση συμπεριφοράς και τρόπου ζωής. Η δράση αυτή θα ονομαστεί ενδεικτικά:

Στο σύγχρονο και απαιτητικό περιβάλλον, στο οποίο εργαζόμαστε και χαρακτηρίζεται από ραγδαίες εξελίξεις υπάρχει η ανάγκη δημιουργίας προγραμ-μάτων προαγωγής της υγείας και στους «προσφέροντες» υγεία. Για το λόγο αυτό η Διεύθυνση Νοσηλευτικών Υπη-ρεσιών και το Γραφείο Εκπαί-δευσης προτίθεται να αναπτύξει δραστηριότητες που να προάγουν την υγεία των εργαζομένων.Πρώτο βήμα λοιπόν αποτελεί η δημιουργία ενός προγράμματος πρόληψης της καρδιαγγειακής νόσου που υλοποιείται σε συνεργασία με την καρδιολογική κλινική του νοσοκομείου μας.Ελπίζουμε η πρωτοβουλία αυτή να λάβει την ανάλογη ανταπόκριση των εργαζομένων, ώστε να αποτελέσει την βάση για την δημιουργία και άλλων τέτοιων προγραμμάτων.

Στον καθένα που συμμετέχει στο πρόγραμμα, γίνεται μέτρηση του βάρους, ύψους, περιφέρειας μέσης και γοφών καταγράφονται οι καπνιστικές συνήθειες, το φύλο και η ηλικία. Γίνεται σωστή μέτρηση της αρτηριακής πίεσης, της κεντρικής αρτηριακής πίεσης, καθώς και μέτρηση της ταχύτητας του σφυγμικού κύματος, παράμετροι που αποτελούν σημαντικούς προγνωστικούς δείκτες καρδιαγγειακών συμβαμάτων.Επίσης τοποθετείται μηχάνημα 24ωρης καταγραφής αρτηριακής πίεσης και σε συνεργασία με το υπερηχογραφικό εργαστήριο της κλινικής γίνεται και echo-triplex καρδιάς. Όλες οι μετρήσεις γίνονται με αξιόπιστες συσκευές και σύμφωνα με τις οδηγίες της Ευρωπαϊκής Εταιρίας Υπέρτασης. Επίσης χρειάζεται να προσκομίσετε πρόσφατες εξετάσεις για χοληστερόλη «καλή»(HDL-C) και «κακή» (LDL-C),τριγλυκερίδια και σάκχαρο. Εάν δεν έχετε θα τις συνταγογραφήσει ιατρός καρδιολόγος της κλινικής μας. Πολλά άτομα συχνά αγνοούν ή υποτιμούν τον καρδιαγγειακό τους κίνδυνο λαμβάνοντας ελάχιστες ή καθόλου πληροφορίες. Στο πρόγραμμα πρόληψης εξετάζουν επιμελητές ιατροί καρδιολόγοι δίνοντας εξατομικευμένες οδηγίες και συμβουλές ενώ παράλληλα προγραμματίζεται η περαιτέρω παρακολούθηση ώστε να ενισχυθεί η συμμόρφωση.

Η αναλυτική εξήγηση για την αρτηριακή πίεση, τον δείκτη μάζας σώματος και τα επίπεδα χοληστερόλης μπορεί να βοηθήσει τον καθένα να καταβάλλει προσπάθειες για να πετύχει την μείωση του κινδύνου του.

Ήδη υπάρχει μεγάλη ανταπόκριση από το προσωπικό του νοσοκομείου και έχουν ελεγχθεί πάνω από 100 άτομα.Το πρόγραμμα διεξάγεται στο χώρο του "Εργαστηρίου Υπέρτασης και Καρδιακής Ανεπάρκειας" στο κεντρικό κτίριο στον 3ο όροφο.

Asklepeion Voula opened in 1920 as the top hospital for children with tuberculosis of the bones and joints, and later as an orthopedic hospital. The need s of Asklepeion during the study area was covered fundamentally until 1961 with few pathologists. Due to the need to address the ever-increasing cardiovascular events, in 1961 the central government appointed its first honorary cardiologist as a scientific collaborator who visited the hospital 2 times a week. Doctors of all specialties from the start appreciated the usefulness of cardiology. It was soon deemed that the presence of a cardiologist 2 times a week in a hospital with 10 orthopedic clinics spread over 120 acres was not enough. So, in 1962 the management of the hospital and the ECA acknowledged and decided to operate with the presence of cardiac surgery cardiologist 3 times a week. Things had improved but still one cardiologist was not sufficient for emergency and serious incidences. In April 1963 the central administration of the ECA decided to promote the practice of the cardiology department with a manager. In early 1979 the Department of Social Services approved the feasibility of operating a unit for intensive care heart patients. The cardiology clinic now has its own history and its own stand-alone destination, and rightfully so, it can continue its work.

FROM THE PAST TO THE PRESENT

The cardiology clinic has 31 beds and 6 beds in the intensive care unit, staffed by 10 for heart patients. They are qualified cardiologists with 13 residents’ .The triple rooms all have bath and toilets. All have TV‘s and air conditioning. It has modern high-tech ultrasound equipment.

The Cardiology Department has:

• Modern stress testing system s with electronic storage of examinations, which hosts more than 300 exercise test per year.

• 3 modern echocardiogram machine (that can also store the generated images), which conducted more than 1000 color echocardiography (triplex), including those carried out in patients hospitalized in other parts of the Clinic.

• Three (3) heart rate recorder s(Holter), which operate daily on patients hospitalized in other parts of the Clinic.

• Five (5) 24-hour blood pressure recording machines.

Serafetinidis Efrem

He was born in Lemnos in 1966.
In 1985 he was admitted to the SSAS and graduated from the School of Medicine of the AUTH in 1991.
From 1992 to 1994 he served as Unit Physician at the 2nd MAL.
In 1994 he started training in the specialty of Urology at 401 GSNA.
From 1996 to 1999 he continued and completed his residency at the University Urology Clinic of the People's Hospital.
From 2001 – 2003 he served as curator at 401 GSNA and from 2003 – 2006 at 417 NIMTS.
In 2007 he was appointed to the Urology Clinic of Asklepiio Voula as Curator A.
In 2004, he was awarded a Doctor of the Medical School of the University of Athens with an "Excellent" performance.
He is a member of the Hellenic and European Urological Associations.
Since 2003, he has been a member of the working group for issuing guidelines on injuries of
the genitourinary system of the European Society of Urology.
