![]() Welcome to our website of the Department of Surgery at “Asklepieion” General Hospital, Voula
Department
of Surgery was established in 1985 in terms of the National Health
System of Greece.
Our location is in Athanasakeion building, built in
1939, named derived of I. Athanasakis, President of Hellenic Red
Cross.
A great number of patients are
admitted and treated in our clinic, in
a regular basis but also as emergencies,
as it is the only surgical
clinic of South suburbs of Athens. The level
of our services from a scientific
point of view is very high, and patient care is offered with love and respect.
The Clinic has to show a rich scientific
clinical and research activity. Many of our young doctors
work on
their theses, and research in certified labs. The clinic participates
in National and International
medical conferences and publishes
papers in Greek and foreign medical journals.
We are proud that working under the
difficult circumstances the country is going through, we fight
for health with great interest,
high scientific training and devotion to our duty.
