General The Pathology Department of the Asklepieio Voulas Hospital, holds a record of histological examinations as well as paraffin blocks and histological slides of last 15 years. It performs biopsies, chirurgical preparations, rapid biopsies, histochemical and immunohistochemical stainings.
Research and educational work The Pathology Laboratory participates every year in several research protocols and publishes articles on Greek and foreign journals. In addition there is an educational activity of training junior doctors (Rotation) from other hospitals in order to specialise to specific histological materials such as Neurosurgical, Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Material.
